The bowhunting world knows Brian Barney. He is consistently hammering critters all over with his bow in hand. He is arguably one of the most passionate bowhunters I know. On top of that he bust his ass with his own business so he can have the time to be able to hunt as much as possible. This past season was a special one for Brian because his youngest daughter was able to hunt and harvest her first deer. That is a memory both of them will have forever. When it comes to bow tuning, Brian is meticulous and wants to have the most forgiving setup possible. We both agreed that the arrow building process plays a huge role in having a forgiving setup and decided to walk through the process. In this episode we cover:
- Starting point for picking out your arrow from the store
- Factors that need to be taken into consideration when selecting an arrow
- The next step after cutting the arrows
- Weighing components before putting them in the arrow
- Fletching process, helical, offset, how many fletchings
- Nock fit and style

In this Episode Yahsti Perkinskiller joins the show. Yahsti is no stranger to archery, tuning, hunting, tournaments and living an archery lifestyle.
"I come from a long line of hunters. Since the times of the buffalo, my family has hunted with bow in hand. Today, I keep the tradition going by Hunting every chance I get. Over my 25 years of chasing critters I’ve had the great fortune of meeting some great people in the industry. Most, I’m happy to say have become great friends. A few of these friends just happen to hold both National, and international titles in the competitive archery world. Luckily for me they were nice enough to coach me to gain some of my own titles. I took their coaching and put it into how I approach my shots at game. Since I’ve taken this approach to the woods, my success has jumped by leaps and bounds."
